The Gravelmouth Gallery of San Antonio (Texas, USA) hosts from March 1 exposure “Microcosmos” Segovia painter Luis Moro. The exhibition will run until 31 March.

According Eliseo de Pablos, who curated an exhibition of his earlier, “Havens Elementary,” paintings by Luis Moro are approaches to unrealities that strokes and colors help to dislodge most unusual lights. Luis Moro fixed, opens, displays, articulates, inverts, spins, structure … great little worlds, forced to make a commitment to alleviate distressing gaps, inventing and proposing new pledges of salvation. A flight to a personal commitment to synthesize the world to discover its greatness. ”

The artist’s vision into the “microcosm” is expressed through a mixed media on paper, cardboard or cloth in the form of butterflies, dragonflies and insects spilling forming a game between the figurative and the abstract.

Born in Segovia in 1969, Luis Moro has participated in over 70 exhibitions, both individual and collective, in Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Belgium, Germany, South Korea, Canada, Cuba and Mexico. Precisely the latter country has hosted major exhibitions of the artist in the last two years: Microcosmos (shown last fall at the Museum of Art and Art Space Mazatlan Televisa. Guadalajara, Mexico), Papaloapan (shown at the Museum MACAZ Morelia Michoacán, in the spring of last year) and the elemental paradises own (shown above in the cities of Merida, San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Queretaro and Morelia) where he presented a double exposure on the microscopic world of insects, arthropods and now supplement the series with Microcosm.
